Mortgage Daily News interview with Alan Johnson, President of LoanXEngine.

MD: What is LoanXEngine?
LXE: LoanXEngine is a web-based platform for lead source management, lead distribution, product eligibility, best execution pricing and CRM. There are additional uses such as wholesale ratesheet generation, but most customers use the system for its superior pricing, CRM and lead management tools.

MD: What is LoanXEngine?
LXE: LoanXEngine is a web-based platform for lead source management, lead distribution, product eligibility, best execution pricing and CRM. There are additional uses such as wholesale ratesheet generation, but most customers use the system for its superior pricing, CRM and lead management tools.

MD: LoanXEngine does all that in one platform?
LXE: Correct, there are others system available that do pieces, like Leads360, LeadsROI and SRPCalc, but only LoanXEngine offers everything in one platform, at roughly the same cost as a single solution. What's more, we offer options for hosting it, or bringing it into your environment.

MD: Where does LoanXEngine fit into the origination process?
LXE: When performing the sale. The system accepts and distributes online and traditional leads, considers all your lenders, programs, qualification rules and adjustments. It finds products that qualify for a specific customer, includes all adjustments and then surfaces products with the lowest rate for the customer that maximizes your profit. The CRM, task and email management features streamline communication and follow-through, boosting conversion rates. And once the lead is ready to become a loan, a single click transfers all the information to the broker's LOS or LoanXEngine's built-in lock desk.

MD: Can you elaborate on integration with other systems?
LXE: Absolutely. LoanXEngine integrates with company websites, online lead providers, CRMs and LOS systems. We offer snap-in integration with over 20 lead source companies, receiving XML from providers such as LendingTree, LowerMyBills, Get Smart, NexTag, Lead Point, Zip Search, Low.com, Adteractive and others. After pricing, re-pricing and managing the lead process, Loan Officers can export information in a Fannie Mae format to their LOS systems like Encompass and Calyx, saving on double entry. There are XML tie-ins to other CRMs like MortgageIQ and Salesforce, and we offer a website point of sale (POS) component that sends leads into LoanXEngine. This allows companies to instantly decision leads from a company website, or even multiple realtor-partner websites.

MD: What are some unique features of LoanXEngine?
LXE: LoanXEngine can be used in a traditional way like when a loan officer is working directly with a customer, but the system also works in a 'fully-automated' mode. Within seconds, based upon the profile of an incoming lead, the lead can be automatically assigned to an appropriate loan officer, qualified, priced, tasks assigned, emails sent, and three best execution offers can be instantly sent back to the customer -- including APR calculations, closing costs, documentation verifications and custom messaging.

MD: What results have customers experienced?
LXE: Recent customers have reported growing over 35% in volume and originations in just six months, leapfrogging large banks in achieving top 10 rankings on the LendingTree network, and winning more business despite challenging market conditions.

MD: What new capabilities have you released for the show?
LXE: We've released a new application called LoanXTraffic Cop, which is targeted at large enterprises, net-branch models and even lead source companies. TrafficCop manages lead distribution among multiple LoanXEngine servers. We added exciting new features to our LoanXWeb component, allowing companies to offer instant website pricing integration with traditional partners such as realtors as well as with their own online presence. And another revision of LoanXEngine has also been released.

MD: What's coming soon?
LXE: When we first launched LoanXEngine, we focused on building a perfect solution for larger brokers and small banks. With LoanXTrafficCop, we can offer an extremely large scale solution. We are now pushing down the same great functionality to the smaller shops and mid-sized firms.
